Drew Overcash is a Midwestern born songwriter living and working in the Big Apple. His musical BOYS VS. GIRLS is currently under production contract with Last Call Theatricals. The piece has it's Broadway Workshop in 2014 and premiere concert at (le) Poisson Rouge Spring 2015. Having just finished a presenation with New York Film Acadmey this summer, BvG is prepping for it's next step this fall.
Drew's songcycle 13 MILES - A LOVE LETTER TO NEW YORK is gearing up for it's New York Premier in 2015. 13 Miles features 16 songs that follow 6 strangers as they take on the island of dreams and discover love, loss, hope and truth.
Currently, Drew has been spending most of his time in the studio gearing up for his first EP: OVERCASH & CHANGE - THE A SIDE. With an IndieGoGo campaign coming out January 2015, two tracks have been recorded for this two part album. The A Side will feature 8 songs spanning across Drew's works including Boys Vs. Girls, 13 Miles, Joe, and Rhapsody.
Since moving to New York, Drew's music has been heard across the city. He's performed in venues like Joe's Pub, The Highline Ballroom, 54 Below, (le) Poisson Rouge, Birdland, Manhattan Movement and Arts Center, and The Pershing Square Signature Center. His other shows: Joe, Rhapsody, and My Dear are all currently in development.
